I am a big fan of Maruti Suzuki Gypsy as it offers a royal look but I want it in some refreshed design. Is it true that its makers are bringing it back in a new avatar?

Yes, it is true that Maruti Suzuki is planning to present the old Gypsy in a new and appealing stance and that is why they have halted the production for the time being. The makers have manufactured around 1, 40,000 Gypsys for India and 22 per cent of these have exclusively been manufactured for the armed forces. Initially, in 1985, Gypsy came with a soft top convertible design and soon progressed to offer a hardtop. However, since then no major alteration was made to this SUV. After year of its commencement, the makers have now realized the need of the updates and that is why they have taken this decision to bring it with the facelifted version to surprise the Gypsy lovers. It may take a few months and by the time you can wait or look for other options that you have.

Yes there are some rumours about this in the market, however no official announcement have been made so far. It would be great if Maruti present their iconic Gypsy with a better powerful yet fuel friendly engine.
