Maruti Suzuki Ritz is quite impressive in the fuel efficiency department. The petrol version of Ritz which gets its power from a 1.2 litre, K12 series engine, gives a mileage of about 14 kms in a litre in city traffic conditions and around 19 kmpl on the highways. Whereas, the diesel version of Maruti Suzuki Ritz which is powered by a 1.3 litre multijet guise is comparatively more efficient and offers a fuel efficiency of 19.5 kms in a litre on city roads and about 23 kmpl on the highway.
Coming to the transmission, Maruti Suzuki provides a four speed automatic transmission model which offers a very smooth drive. The automatic model is named Maruti Suzuki Ritz VXi AT which is a petrol car featuring a 1.2 litre KB 12 power train. However, it is not a manual cum automatic transmission as it cannot be switched to the manual transmission mode. This model offers a mileage of 14- 15 kmpl on city roads while giving a fuel efficiency of 18.5 km/ litre on highways.
