I observed that there is a wide gap between the main body and doors of Maruti S Cross. Is this just a poor design or is there some other problem with the car?

The panel gaps are basically a design aspect rather than a mechanical or assembly inconsistency. S-Cross has consistent gaps all throughout which says that it’s just the way they designed the car. These gaps also affect the NVH levels however; in the S-Cross you’ll be surprised to know that despite these gaps, the NVH levels are very low especially when the car is on the move. Though you are concerned with the built quality of the car, you should still test drive the S-Cross because personally, I found that car to be extremely pleasant.
