Is Maruti Suzuki winding up the sales of S-Cross? Is it worth buying?

No, Maruti Suzuki is not going to discontinue all the variants of S-Cross but has only reduced the production of lower variants of S-Cross 320 1.6 DDiS, the reason mentioned is that customer don’t prefer buying 1.6 liter engine S-Cross in lower trims, it has been a slow seller and not getting much attraction despite offers and price cut and also after the launch of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza sale of S-Cross has gone further down.
You may buy S-Cross if it appeals to you but know it well that there is no petrol engine and automatic gearbox on S-Cross, and it is offered with two engines, 1.3 liter multi-jet and 1.6 liter DDiS 320, claimed mileage of S-Cross 1.3 is 23.6 kmpl, it has a good mid range punch, while the claimed mileage of 1.6 liter model is 22.7 kmpl, it also have good mid range punch but low end is relatively week, NVH levels of both models are good, clutch is light, suspension tuned on the stiffer side and absorbs bumps and potholes well, remains stable at top speed, braking performance is also good. Talking about cabin, it is spacious and has good storage spaces, seats are very supportive, boot space is acceptable, S-Cross has many good features like 7-inch touch-screen infotainment with bluetooth, AUX, USB, CD and Navigation, 6-speakers, keyless GO, reverse parking camera, automatic climate control, automatic wipers, electrically retracting rearview mirrors etc. Maruti Service has excellent after sale service.
