The major difference between Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire petrol and diesel engine is the average that it offers. The petrol variant offers 11kmpl whereas the diesel can deliver around 16-17kmpl in the longer run. The other difference comes in terms of price. The diesel variants for Dzire start from Rs. 6.0 lakhs to Rs. 7.9 lakhs for the regular variants whereas the diesel AT model comes at a price of Rs. 8.4lakhs. On the other hand, the petrol variants being at Rs. 5.2 lakhs and go up to Rs. 6.9 lakhs with VXI AT optional at Rs. 7 lakhs (all prices ex-showroom). The diesel Dzire is the 1248cc engine with a power output of 74bhp at 4000rpm whereas the torque produced is 190Nm at 2000rpm. Petrol Maruti Swift Dzire on the other hand is a 1248cc engine that delivers 83.14bhp at 6000rpm and offers a torque of 115Nm at 4000rpm. Both fuel options also come with Automatic transmission option, whereas the normal variants are all powered by a 5 speed manual transmission.
