Ford Figo Aspire and Maruti Suzuki Dzire are two much loved sedans. Maruti Dzire isn’t preferred when it comes to looks but the winning edge for a Maruti is their after sale network and maintenance costs along with the fuel efficiency. Figo Aspire on the other hand is a very handsome looking car but the after sale can be expensive as the spares are costly and the service network isn’t as vast as Maruti.
On the inside, both the cars are comfortable but in terms of finishing, surprisingly Maruti proves to be better in comparison. Usually you don’t really see Maruti spending much time on the interiors but in case of this comparison, they do take the cake away.
Figo Aspire is powered with a dual clutch transmission which is quite smooth and seamless. Along with this, the fuel efficiency of this gearbox is slightly more than other automatic gears. The 1.5litre engine on the automatic Figo Aspire is not very peppy. The Dzire AT on the other hand is 1197cc K-Series petrol engine. Along with the former, even the latter drives really well in the city. Therefore, one can safely say that in terms of driving both the cars aren’t much different. Thus, you should evaluate the list of features and other things that matter to you, like maintenance and running costs etc. basis which, you should decide which is better. For me, I would choose the Maruti Dzire because for me it is very important that the maintenance is easy and also that it is easy to find a service station even on highways. Rest, the cars are quite similar therefore, it’s just a little feature here and there that will help you choose.
