Maruti Suzuki Dzire ZDI Plus Description
Maruti DZire has finally received a much-needed makeover in the Indian market and it is splendid, to say the least. Right from the exterior styling, to the meticulously crafted interior cabin with a plethora of premium features, it ticks the right boxes in every aspect. Being based on the company's lightweight 'HEARTEC' architecture, the all-new DZire sedan is offered in both petrol and diesel fuel trims in four grades: LXi/LDi, VXi/VDi, ZXi/ZDi and ZXi+/ZDi+. Maruti has given paramount importance to safety of the occupants as several renowned safety equipments are offered as standard across the entire variant line-up. Maruti DZire is bigger and better than the outgoing model due to the stretched wheelbase which makes the cabin even more spacious, especially for the rear seat occupants. Though, mechanically, the sedan comes with the same set of petrol and diesel motors with identical power and torque figures, but the mileage has significantly gone up, making it India's most fuel efficient sedan. In addition, the all-new DZire comes with an option of AMT gearbox from V trim onwards.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire ZDI Plus ExteriorThe exterior styling of Maruti DZire - based on the new-generation Swift hatch - is ages ahead of the preceding model. It gives sense of freshness and uniqueness with the front fascia oozing elegance and panache. It flaunts an all-new hexagonal grille with chrome accents and a redesigned bumper. The side profile is largely retained from the predecessor, save for the newly-designed alloy wheels. The body-colored door handles and ORVMs sum up the luxuriant side profile. Moving to the rear end, there is new LED taillamps and LED high mounted stop lamp, alongside a revamped bumper.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire ZDI Plus InteriorThe interior cabin of the all-new Maruti DZire is finished in dual-tone black and beige upholstery with a host of features. The sedan comes with a new flat-bottomed power steering with tilt adjustment as standard across the entire variant range. The base variant, unexpectedly, misses out on rear power windows. However, the V grade comes with a string of contemporary features in form of Tachometer, 2-DIN audio system with USB, CD, AUX, FM/AM, Bluetooth connectivity, 4 speakers, steering wheel mounted audio and telephonic controls, rear AC vents, keyless entry, rear seat armrest with cup holders and accessory socket, central locking, electromagnetic boot opening, front and rear power windows, and height adjustable driver seat to name a few. The Smartplay touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto & Navigation is reserved for the range-topping grades.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire ZDI Plus Engine & TransmissionThe diesel variants come with the same 1.3L 4-cylinder DDiS 190 engine with top power of 74bhp at 4000rpm and highest torque of 190Nm at 2000rpm. It is linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire ZDI Plus MileageThe diesel variants return a mileage of 28.40kmpl, which is 6.8 percent higher as compared to the previous-generation model. The aforementioned mileage figures make the Maruti DZire India’s most fuel efficient sedan.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire ZDI Plus Braking and SafetyMaruti Suzuki DZire gets disc brake at the front and drum brake at the rear. The sedan comes with several class-leading safety features such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), dual front airbags, ISOFix Child Seat Anchorages, and Front seatbelts with pre-tensioner and load limiters as standard fitments across the entire variant range.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire ZDI Plus Performance and HandlingThe all-new DZire sedan comes with the same set of petrol and diesel engines but it is being learnt that the company has improved driving dynamics and performance. The handling has also seen improvement due to the inclusion of a new flat-bottomed steering wheel. The cabin noise is also quite less than the outgoing model.
