In my opinion Datsun Redi-Go would be a good choice here, it fits to your requirement, convenient to drive in city traffic and also good for occasional highway drive, it is the most affordable among all your desired ones. I won’t advise you for 5 year old Swift VXI as its maintenance cost would now be comparatively higher.

Redi-Go plus has better power performance than Alto and Tata Nano and also has better power to body weight ratio, it is more spacious than Alto and Nano and has better height, width, wider tyres and bigger boot space. High sitting position of Redi-Go offers commanding view of the road, claimed mileage of Redi-Go is 25.17 compare to 24.7 of Alto and 23.6 of Nano.

Ride quality of Redi-Go is quite good especially at low speed, its suspension filters most of the undulations without transferring them to the cabin, it has a good ground clearance of 185mm which ensure maximum drivability over rough surfaces and it is a good value for money, price is more reasonable than Alto and Nano.
