When is Maruti planning to launch the petrol and the automatic variants for the new Brezza?

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is proving to be a stunning hit on the Indian roads ever since it launched. However, this vehicle is available in the diesel variants only. The petrol version of the vehicle is currently unavailable. It is being said that the car will have a 1.0litre Boosterjet engine powering its petrol variants. Currently this engine is not being manufacturerd in India but it might start soon as this is only way in which Maruti can manage the economies of scale, otherwise if the engine is imported then the cost of the car will rise quite a bit. So, one can surely say that it is definitely on the cards but it might take a little while before the petrol variant is launched in India.

Now, coming to the automatic variant for Maruti Brezza; there isn’t any news of an Indian launch but one did hear about the R&D starting research for the same but there isn’t any confirmed news of it as of now.
