Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Stingray engine under the hood is capable of showing fuel economy numbers of 16kmpl in city traffic and 18kmpl on high roads which is good for the car of its class.
Maruti has been always known as a common people's brand and the reason is that they manufacture cars that are very good on fuel efficiency fronts. They have followed same legacy in WagonR Stingray also. As WagonR, the Stingray is also available in Petrol only option. The ARAI certified mileage of Stingray is 20.51 Kmpl. In real world conditions, you can expect Stringray to give 15-16 Kmpl on city roads and 18-19 Kmpl on highway rides.Judicial use of clutch and air conditioner can definitely help you to extract some more KMs to a litre, from your car.
All variants of Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Stingray features a fuel-tank capacity of 35 liters and its design has been pushed to absorb much fuel in one go so that the user does not have to face any kind of trouble. If you go for a city drive, this hatch can deliver a decent mileage of around 17.8kmpl, which makes it deliver 597.8kmpl with its full tank. While, if you take it for long drives on a wide road, it can offer a meaty fuel-economy of 717.85kmpl with its full tank. However, this is noteworthy that fuel-economy, largely depends on the driving manner of a user.

Why is Maruti not popularising the WagonR Stingray? I own this vehicle and can vouch for it but I have never seen an ad or even a poster in the dealerships for this vehicle. In fact Maruti sales executives discourage one to buy a Stingray. Why is that so?
