WagonR Stingray is not available with an automatic gearbox. There's an option of manual five speed transmission only.
Yes, Maruti Suzuki WagonR and Stingray have finally received the AMT technology that was first introduced on the Celerio in the carmaker's line-up in India. The Auto Gear Shift transmission will be available in the VXi variants of both, WagonR and Stingray, at the starting prices of 4.76 lakh and 4.98 lakh. Furthermore, Maruti Suzuki WagonR and Stingray now also get a handful of new safety features including driver and co-driver airbags and Anti-lock Braking System.

Why is Maruti not popularising the WagonR Stingray? I own this vehicle and can vouch for it but I have never seen an ad or even a poster in the dealerships for this vehicle. In fact Maruti sales executives discourage one to buy a Stingray. Why is that so?
I have been informed by my friends that Maruti has stalled the production of Wagon R Stingray. Also, I haven't seen any advertisement of the Stingray in recent times. Can you please confirm if it is true?
