The Mercedes Benz E class, beside its stylish exterior and lavish interior has not spared any effort to make the rides of its passengers safe. For this, they have installed up to 8 airbags that will protect the riders in case of any accident. Among these airbags, two are placed in front of the front riders, so that, they don’t get slammed into the steering wheel or dashboard. Two more are placed on their head rests, to protect their head and neck and two are placed on the door panel that gets deployed in case of a side impact. For the rear passengers, there are two airbags on either side that give them protection from side impact.

The main rivals of Mercedes Benz E class in the Indian market are the Audi A6, Mercedes Benz SLK, Mercedes Benz C class, Jaguar XK and Mercedes Benz S class.

Amongst them, Jaguar XK has put the lowest number of 4 air bags for the passenger protection. Mercedes Benz S class has 8 air bags and Audi A6, Mercedes Benz SLK class and Mercedes Benz C class has fitted their cars with 6 air bags each for both front and rear riders.
