Mercedes-Benz EQC Preview

Mercedes-Benz has just joined the electric race with their newly launched EQC which is an SUV. The EQC is powered with two electric motors which are placed on each axle and will be launched with three trim levels namely Progressive, Premium, and Advanced. There will also be an AMG line variant available which will be sporty and will offer more performance than the regular model. Mercedes-Benz EQC exterior looks like an SUV from the future as there is no front grille and you can just see that huge tri-star Mercedes-Benz logo and a lightbar which continues with Daytime-Running Lamps and LED headlamps has been designed with clever detailing due to which the headlamp cluster looks beautiful. The side profile is clean and dominated with the massive alloy wheels. The rear glass curves like a coupe and below the glass is a light bar with slim taillamp cluster. Mercedes-Benz EQC interior is typical Mercedes-Benz with premium raw materials and dual huge screens dominating the dashboard. Luxury features include ambient lighting with 63 colour options, Burmester® surround sound system which is connected to the touchscreen infotainment system, a powered tailgate and electric adjustment of seats. The centre stage is taken by the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system which can be controlled by voice commands, touchscreen, touchpad and the steering wheel. The MBUX operating system that the Mercedes Benz is using for the infotainment system also comes with in-built navigation which also shows charging stations. The rose-gold accents on the air conditioning vents look distinctive and enhance the look of the cabin. Moreover, the driver gets a fully configurable digital instrument cluster with a multi-information display that shows important information, cruise control for hassle-free highway drives and blind-spot monitoring system. Mercedes-Benz also comes with connected car features that allow the user to do various functions without even getting in the car, the user can give commands straight through their mobile phone.
Mercedes-Benz EQC will compete with Jaguar I-Pace, Tesla Model X and Audi E-Tron. Mercedes-Benz EQC price may start from around Rs. 60 lakhs if launched in India. It is important to note that the EQC will be less costly when compared to its rivals. Mercedes-Benz EQC specs come with a battery size of 80kWh that produces a max power output of 402hp of max power output and a huge 761Nm of peak torque output which is available instantly as it is an electric vehicle. All of this torque is channeled to all the four wheels. The battery can charge up to 100 per cent in around 10 hours and up to 80 per cent in a Mercedes claimed 40 minutes when used a 110kW fast charger. Mercedes-Benz EQC 0-100kmph time is marked at 4.8 seconds. Mercedes-Benz EQC range is 445-471 km as per the company
