Mercedes Benz offers GLA Class in both petrol and diesel versions. Petrol version features 1991 cc engine delivering power of 135KW@5500 RPM and Torque of 300Nm@1200-1400RPM. In diesel version it features 2143cc engine delivering power of 100KW@3600-4400RPM and Torque of 300Nm@1600-3000RPM. Performance of both are almost equal. In terms of fuel efficiency, you can expect around 12kmpl or so. Choosing one depends upon your requirements such as personal preferences, general usage and more of cost of the vehicle.Withrespect to petrol or diesel version of GLA Class, Petrol version would be ideal.

Mercedes has offered their new crossover i.e. Benz GLA Class in both Petrol and Diesel models. Both are quite good on the performance front. The diesel version is slightly pricier and offers greater mileage than Petrol one. However, if your daily running requirements are not greater than 80 Km/day, Petrol version would be a better option. Maintenance cost of diesel engines comes higher than the petrol ones. However, note that the AMG version, that is the fully imported version, is available with petrol engine only.

Mercedes Benz has set a new standard for SUVs with the GLA. A regular conundrum for car buyers is which kind of car to buy; a petrol version or a diesel version? Well, the simple explanation is that diesel always offers greater mileage to customers. However, this comes at a price. The cost of maintaining diesel engines in the long run is pretty high, and therefore, you are better are off buying a petrol version if your daily driving demands aren’t that great.

The GLA-Class offers a potential customer two different engine options to choose from. On one hand, the company provides the a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine option variant, which is solely manufactured for those want their rides to run on petrol; while on the other hand, there is also the choice of a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine variant. The diesel engine generates a maximum power of 170PS and a maximum output of 350Nm torque. The 0-100kmph speed intensity mark is reached in 8.3 seconds with a maximum speed of an approximate 215kmph. The petrol-engine variant is valued at 156PS and 250Nm.
