MG Maxus D90

MG Motor's Hector is selling like hotcakes since its launched and has been on a waiting list continuously. The SUV market in India has been dominated with the Toyota Fortuner and the Ford Endeavour and after the success of the Hector, MG wants to compete with the big SUVs of the Indian market. The new SUV is known as Maxus D90, however, it is expected that MG will change the name of the Maxus D90 once launched in India. Unlike, the MG hector the D90 will feature third-row seating. MG Maxus D90 dimensions measures 1,932mm in width, 5,005mm in length and 2,950mm of wheelbase. The exterior will come with angular hood up-front with LED headlamps and Daytime-Running Lamps. There will also be a skid-plate to protect the under-body of the SUV along with the vertically placed fog lamps. The side profile will feature diamond-cut wheels, roof-rails and huge glass area for amazing visibility. At the rear, there will be sleek looking LED taillamps which may feature dynamic-swipe indicators. The driving modes that are offered by MG are Rock, Sandy, Automatic, Motion and Economy. The diesel engine is also expected to join however, the specs of the engine are unknown at the moment. The interior will have a more premium feel than its rivals due to the features like three-zone climate control, digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, panoramic sunroof and a 360-degree camera with rear parking sensors.
The Maxus D90 specs in the international market, offer a 2.0-litre petrol engine which makes a max power output of 224hp and a peak torque output of 360Nm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter. It is important to note that the engine will be BS-6 compliant once launched in India. MG Maxus D90 price is expected to start from Rs. 30 Lakhs(ex-showroom price).
