    The Morris Garages ZS compact SUV has already been teased confirming its launch in the country. Company’s Indian operations will officially start in 2019and the SUV will be locally produced at its Halol based manufacturing plant. Coming to the Morris Garages ZS, it will feature a 5-seat layout and will measure above 4 meter in length. As for the Morris Garages ZS price in India, it is estimated to fall in the range of Rs 11 lakh to Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom).

    The Morris Garages ZS images give a peek into its exterior styling and large size. That said, the compact SUV measures 4,314 mm long, 1,809 mm wide and 1,611 mm tall. The MG ZS appears more like a crossover and gets a large grille in front with black mesh design and chrome surround. It additionally features a sporty bumper, rectangular fog lamps, black cladding, skid plate etc. Rear gets wraparound LED taillights, integrated roof spoilers and sporty bumpers.

    The Morris Garages ZS interiors sport leather steering wheel and leather gear selector as standard. It also features desirable bits like keyless entry with push-button start and ‘Stargazer’ panoramic glass roof with sunshade.List of standard equipment includes reversing camera, USB connectivity, Bluetooth phone and audio streaming, 8.0-inch touchscreen media system with Apple CarPlay.

    Talking about the MG ZS specifications, we expect the India-spec model to feature a diesel powertrain. It is likely to source the 2.0-litre turbocharged oil burner from Jeep Compass with power & torque output tuned to be 168 bhp and 350Nm respectively. Both automatic and manual versions are likely to be on offer.It could additionally come with a 4-cylinder 1.5-L petrol engine.

    In the UK market, the 1.0-L engine equipped model returns 19 km/l, whereas the 1.5-L motor powered model delivers 21 km/l of mileage. The exact figure for the India-spec model is currently unknown and will be revealed at launch.
