There is a provision for two reverse lights in Nissan Micra so why is it that there is only one provided in my car that I bought in July 2016? Also, why wasn’t this odd feature told to me when I was buying this car?

In my opinion there is a malfunction in the light on the driver’s side which is why it isn’t working. This is not a very major issue and any authorised service station will solve your problem. Also, I would suggest that you talk to your dealer because your car isn’t a year old and therefore, this should be covered under your warranty. He would have to either replace the light or at least fix it.
