What is the difference between Nissan Terrano XE D and XL D?
By: Dharmender on 6 february 2015
Both these cars have identical design and engines. The only differences that we find in these two cars are in the interiors. The XL D trims come with better braking features that include, ABS, EBF and brake assist. The XL D trim also has a front seat pocket and rear defogger, which is absent in the XE D trim. The OVRMs of XE D is internally adjustable, whereas the same can be adjusted electrically in the XL D trim.
Both the trims of Nissan Terrano are diesel trims and if they are judged from the specification point of view there is no difference at all. Right from the engine to its power and mileage, both seems identical. However, when we move inside the car, the differences between these two start knocking our doors. It is pretty clear that the XL trim is placed on XE, therefore, it must have something more to offer to its buyers and it has its upper hand in terms of braking as it is powered by ABS, EBD and further supported by brake assist.
The Nissan Terrano has a base version with the disesel version as XE and the middle variant as XL. There is no difference in the looks, engine or the frame or underpinnings. But the cost difference of ?1 Lac is due to more features in the XL version such as CD player, rear reading lamp, rear centre arm rest, rear cup holders, height adjustable seat belts, fog lights, power adjustable ORVMs, rear window wiper, washer, defogger and ABS with EBD.
