Renault Arkana

The upcoming Renault Arkana will definitely break the barriers when it will come with a coupe-crossover design, unlike its competitors. Renault will be promoting their product Arkana as a car with the grace of a sedan along with the ruggedness of an SUV. The exteriors of the vehicle will comprise of a panoramic glass roof right at the top. The ever massive 19-inch wheels will give an embracing look to the vehicle. The Renault brand had earlier confirmed that the upcoming Arkana will be built on a dual-spec platform type. We can expect the Arkana to host Renault’s new infotainment system known as R-LINK 2 which is inspired by cars like the Renault Megane and Renault Koleos SUV. The aforementioned infotainment system will comprise of a touchscreen positioned vertically which will measure 8.7 inches in the top-end trims.
When we talk about the engines, the upcoming Renault Arkana will comprise of the latest 1.3L turbocharged petrol engine which the Renault-Mitsubishi-Nissan altogether has co-produced with the Mercedes-Benz. The 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine is capable of producing maximum power of 160PS and 260Nm of peak torque. The engine will come mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed AMT with a dual clutch assist. On the contrary, the diesel engine will be a new 1.5L Blue dCi motor which will likely be introduced once the BSVI emission norms will comply in India in 2020. At present in Europe, the 1.5L Blue DCi engine is offered with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed AMT with a dual clutch assist. The Renault Arkana will rival against the likes of the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe, the Indian version BMW X4 and BMW X6.
