Renault Dokker Preview

The French automaker Renault is well versed with the art of re-badging cars. We already have several such examples from its alliance partner Nissan and also the from Renault’s Romanian subsidiary, Dacia in the form of Renault Duster. Automobile Dacia Company came into being in the 1966 under the name Uzina de Autoturisme Pitesti (UAP.) The Romanian company was named after the historic region that constitutes much of the present-day Romania. It is now a 100 per cent subsidiary of the French car maker Renault and is the main exporter from Romania with 10 per cent of total exports.

Multi-utility, comfort and loads of boot space are what that puts Renault Dokker ahead in the line. It will appeal to those looking for a 5-seater practical MUV with plenty of boot space.

It is no surprise then, that the French automaker is thinking hard about getting the Dacia Dokker MPV into the Indian market as the Renault Dokker, to rival the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Nissan Evalia and the Honda Mobilio MPV.
