Renault Duster Overview

The Renault Duster 2019 has been given major tweaks with respect to exteriors, interiors, and technology infotainment features. This time Renault is all set to provide many features and capture the interest of more buyers in the SUV category. It comes in 2 new additional colour namely Caspian Blue and Mahogany Brown along with 5 other colours which are prevalent.

Renault Duster Exterior

The Renault Duster 2019 exterior has been provided with a lot of advancements. The front fascia gets a newly sculpted bonnet, projector headlights with LED DRL’s, dual tone body coloured front bumper, new fog lamp housing with wider air dams, skid plate and tri-winged front chrome grille. Talking of the rear, the rear skid plate, rear LED tail lamps, Matte black tailgate embellisher and plastic cladding present between the taillamps give the SUV a rugged look. In addition, the SUV gets kayak roof rails, electrically foldable and adjustable ORVM and 16-inch Everest diamond-cut alloys for an exuberant appeal.

Renault Duster Interior

As far as the Renault Duster 2019 interior is concerned, it comes with all-new premium fabric upholstery, newly styled steering wheel and rectangular-shaped AC vents on the central console. Additionally, it gets a tweaked 7-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice assistant command, 4 speakers and 2 tweeters, chrome and piano-black bits, and a faux-aluminium trim. Also, the interior colour comes in new harmony and the front cabin hosts a new cooled glove box storage and the Ice blue graphic MID solves a great purpose.

Renault Duster Engine & Transmission

Speaking of the Renault Duster 2019 specs, the SUV boasts of two options, namely 1.5L petrol and a 1.5L TDCi diesel engine. The 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol unit generates a max power of 106bhp and a peak torque of 142Nm. It is available with optional 5-speed MT or a 6-speed CVT. The 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel unit comes in two different states of tune. The lower-state of tune unit extracts a max power of 85bhp and peak torque of 200Nm. This engine comes mated with a 5-speed MT only, whereas the higher state of tune unit generates a max power of 110bhp along with peak torque of 245Nm. This unit gets optional 6-speed MT or an AMT, available exclusively in the top-spec RXZ trim. The SUV comes with an All-Wheel-Drive system in RxS (0) variant.

Renault Duster Mileage

The Renault Duster 2019 mileage comes somewhere around 13kmpl in the petrol engine and 19kmpl in the diesel engine.

Renault Duster Braking and Safety

The braking responsibilities are handled by disc and drum brakes. The Renault Duster 2019 safety features include dual airbags (driver and passenger), ABS, EBD and Brake Assist. Additionally, there are reverse parking sensors, engine immobiliser, rapid deceleration warning, remote keyless entry & central locking as standard across all the variants. Also, there is a reverse parking camera with guidelines. The AMT and AWD trim bring along ESP and Hill start assist functionality.

Renault Duster Performance and Handling

Talking of the Renault Duster 2019 performance, one thing is for sure that the off-road capabilities it exhibits are just marvellous. The way it tackles rough terrain absorbs big bumps and pits on the road, distinguishing it from the competitors. The suspension system includes Mcpherson strut and double acting shock absorbers. Overall, the ride quality of the SUV is superb.
