The claimed mileage of Renault Duster (petrol) is 13.6 kmpl while as per user reviews it is around 10-11 kmpl in real world driving conditions and may vary as per driving habits. The 1.6 liter petrol engine of Duster is very peppy and power delivery is linear and engine pulls effortlessly, it discharges maximum power of 102 bhp @ 5850 rmp and maximum torque of 145 Nm @ 3750 rpm, as per user reviews engine has more than required power to carry 5 people.
Hyundai Creta (petrol) is also powered by 1.6 liter engine but it discharges better power and torque than Duster and the claimed mileage of Creta is also better. Creta has 6 speed transmission gearbox which is more smoother compare to 5 speed gearbox of Duster, gearbox of Creta feels smoother than of Duster.
When we talk about the interior Creta has excellent quality material all around while interior quality of Duster is although better but still has lot of scope for improvement. Both the cars have decent cabin space but Duster has bigger boot than Creta. The quality fit & finish and equipments of Creta is better in comparison to Duster. The best thing about duster is that it comes with AWD (all wheel drive) system which enable it handle bad roads with lot of ease. As per user reviews body control and handling of Duster is better than Creta. Duster also feels more stable at high. In terms of after sale service and service networks Hyundai is better than Renault.
