In diesel version, despite of larger cc and good power output, it assures and delivers mileage of about 20kmpl. In city conditons of slow moving traffic and with AC on, mileage of around 16 to 17kmpl is reliable.

The Renault engine comes with a displacement capacity of 1461cc, the engine is capable of churning a maximum power of 108.5bhp at 4000rpm along with a peak torque output of 240Nm at just 1850rpm. It allows the sedan to deliver about 17 Kmpl within the city limits, while its mileage goes up to 20 Kmpl on the bigger roads, which has been approved by the ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India).
I am agree with the above answer, Both the variants of this model series are fitted with a displacement capacity of 1461cc, maximum power of 108.5bhp at 4000rpm along with a peak torque output of 240Nm at just 1850rpm. The engine is skillfully coupled with a six speed manual transmission. Which powers the engine to zoom towards a top speed of 185 Kmph, and the car gives mileage of 15 Kmpl in the city and on the express ways 18 Kmpl with AC on.
Not agree with comments above, According to ARAI certification, both the variants gives nice mileage, and the mileage is 17.2kmpl in the city traffic, while its mileage on the highways up to 20.04kmpl with AC, but in reality it has a considerably less mileage. The car has been equipped with ventilated disc brakes, whereas accumulating the rear wheels by means of solid disc brakes and the anti-lock braking system along with electronic brake force distribution system. Overall the performance of the car is quite enough.
The Renault Fluence is an excellent car in terms of fuel efficiency and power. It is available in 1461cc engine along with the 110 PS power and 240 Nm torque. The car is said to be giving a mileage of 20 KMPL as per the ARAI standards. There is no option of petrol engine in the car. The car is having a mileage of 15-17 in the cities and almost 18-20 KMPL over the highways depending on the driving conditions.
Yes I am agreeing with the above answer. The new Renault Fluence is said to be delivering on of the best mileage in to its segment. Actually the car is really equipped with a powerful engine of 1.5 L which can deliver very good power of 110 ps and 240 NM torque. Considering the engine capacity and performance 20 KMPL is not a bad average at all. I am happy with the mileage of it.
It is being said the mileage of a car depends on the engine capacity and road conditions in which it is being driven. I live in a metro city and commute through the car a lot for my business meetings and other needs and the car really performs well. The influence of the Renault Fluence is very good, it gives a mileage of almost 18 KMPL on average, I am happy with the mileage.
I am not agree with these figures, If it is so, why my Fluence never goes above 13-14 kilometers. I am also driving it in both mixed conditions out of that most of my driving will be highway based. I am wondering if the mileage figures you guys are giving are without Air-condition? The reason why I am saying is , I have tried almost all driving speeds even tried it it constant 40 KMPL on highway for 50-60 kilometers, asked the service center as well, they said the same thing like it gives 14-15 KMPL.
