- Pros: Good looks
- Cons: Less power
After the Renault Duster, the Renault Captur is sure to become a significant product in the companys Indian portfolio. The moment I saw the Captur, I could tell you, it looks fantastic. There arent many cars in India with such a wonderful design language. The smooth flowing curves all around the body enhance the styling. But what I loved the most is the placement of the Cshaped DRLs on the fog lamps cluster. The roof comes with a contrasting colour. But yes, if we get a car that is slotted above the Duster, we would expect the power readings to be above the Duster as well. I wasnt much amused knowing that the Captur wont be more powerful. So with such a stylish body on display, we might feel the lack of power. When I looked inside of the Captur, things look a little similar to the Duster albeit upgraded. However, I dont really like the white parts of the upholstery as it may get dirty way too soon. Apart from this, everything else is just perfect. The price cannot be ascertained before the launch happens. But I can tell you, if it is better than the Duster, it will be priced over the Duster. This means close to Rs10 lakhs. I think the car is good according to its price. What you pay is what you get.
