Does car AC consumes more fuel if I switch its setting to maximum cooling?

Yes, AC does consume more fuel when you switch it to maximum cooling setting compared to the normal setting, as on maximum cooling setting AC uses more electrical power than low and medium and that extra power is drawn from the engine, so as a result more fuel gets consumed.
