  • Pros: I bought this car for its looks, space and affordability. And of course, I took into account Renaults reputation in Formula 1. Advantages 1. SUV Design and Stance 2. Superb Ride Quality and Handling 3. Unbelievable Interior and Boot Space 4. Many First In Segment Features 5. Good Cornering Grip 6. Fantastic Steering Wheel 7. Good Mileage 8. Best VFM Car
  • Cons: There are couple of things I would have liked the Kwid to possess. But none of them are serious to prevent others from buying this car. Disadvantages 1. No ABS 2. Non-Retractable Rear Seat Belts 3. No Internal ORVM Adjustment 4. Poor Quality Glovebox 5. Slightly Rigid Horn Pad 6. No Rear Wiper
The Kwid is a brilliant car for first timers. I was surprised at the ease of driving this car. Its ride quality is probably the best. The car is very spacious but it is still perfectly small to drive effortlessly in traffic. One will not feel cramped in this car nor will your luggage. Its got a 300L boot space which is unbelievable. Digital Speedometer, Touch-Screen Navigation and even the front safety belts are all a first in this segment. One would be a fool to overlook this car. My 1st service experience with Renault was good. My car was also among the 50,000 recalled cars. I was getting 13 Kmpl mileage before the recall. But after rectification, the overall mileage is about 18 Kmpl which is a vast improvement. The car is very comfortable and easy to handle. So far I have not had any reliability issues. The lack of ABS is the only thing I am disappointed about. Still the existing brakes are adequate. Although it is early to praise this car, there is no doubt that this car is an excellent proposition to prospective buyers. And from my experience, I can recommend this car. Renault has already released the 1000CC and AMT Variants of the Kwid. I would suggest you pay the extra cost and go for either of those variants as they will fetch you more performance and comfort compared to the 800CC Kwid. But if you are budget conscious, this 800CC is an excellent proposition for you.
