The front seats of Renault Lodgy Stepway move sightly (by a few mm), especially during braking. But the service centre in Bangalore says it is "normal play" in Lodgy seats. Never heard of such a weird thing in 35 years of motoring. Is this true, or is the service station fooling me?!

If the seats of your Renault Lodgy Stepway are slipping on the rail, then it would be advisable to get the rail and seat locking mechanism checked. Not only the Lodgy Stepway, we have noticed similar issue in the Duster where the seats didn't move on the rails, just rocked back and forth while braking.
