Why diesel motor takes time to start as compared to petrol motor of Renault Scala?
By: Amrit on 19 june 2015
Hello Amrit !!
This is quite normal, the diesel engines take longer time to warm up. As compared to the Petrol engines. However the ignition should take almost equal time. Post ignition old diesel engines take time to warm up because of their nature, Diesel engines are tend to perform well when heated up however vice versa of same is true in case of petrol model of Renault Scala.

It is normal for diesel engines to work more efficiently when they are properly heated up, this had to do with the ignition temperature of the diesel which is high compared to petrol. However, once heated properly, then the diesel engine outperforms the petrol engine in both generating power and providing the riders better mileage. Therefore diesel engines are always preferable.
