Skoda Superb Overview

It’s is the third generation of the car and the Skoda Superb images reveal that the car is even more loftier in character than before. The Skoda Superb specification reveal that it’s longer (almost five meters now) and wider than the current generation car. It’s based on the Vision C concept which was revealed in 2014. The car is more sharp, the front get a new fascia altogether and the rear too has been extensively redesigned that has no semblance to the car it replaces.
Superb is powered by the 1.8-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel that powered the previous generation car. The front wheel drive car is available with a six-speed manual and a seven-speed automatic transmission. What goes without saying is that you get the best value for money package just like the last generation Superb.

Skoda Superb Exterior

Extensively redesigned now, the Skoda Superb is sharper to look at. It’s based on the vision C concept showcased at the Geneva motor show 2014 and does not depart much from the concept style. The saloon feels big enough to take on the likes of BMW 5 Series, Mercedes E-Class and almost indistinguishable from the old car.

The modern looking grille along with the completely new headlamps and taillights appear totally in line with the new design theme that we earlier saw on the Skoda Octavia. The car is based on the modular MQB platform and weighs 75kg less than the car it replaces. The list of Skoda Superb colours on offer includes Candy White, Magnetic Brown Metallic, Black Magic Pearl Effect and Business Grey Metallic.

The Indian version however employs a beige and black scheme along with beige leather combination. There’s an ambient lightening control to match your mood and driving style.
The car would wrap you in luxury like none other and is extremely well kitted. There are clever spaces everywhere, the most impressive one being the Rolls-Royce inspired brolly in the door, nicely hidden at the driver’s side. All passengers get tons of space, the rear seats can be folded to reveal 1760-litres of boot space.
All latest gadgetry like MirrorLink, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist and park assist, 6.5-inch touchscreen Sat-Nav system and driving modes make it into the top variant of the car.
