Is it wise to buy Tata Bolt? I am looking for a solid build car with a decent ground clearance. How does it perform? How is after sales and maintenance cost of Tata cars?

Tata Bolt looks decent, has nice interiors, spacious cabin and comes with lots of features. Ground clearance of this car is 165mm, which is sufficient for Indian roads. The boot is average size. In my opinion the build quality of this car is one of the best in its segment.
The car has more than enough power for both city and highway driving. Power delivery is linear and there is no turbo lag. In Eco mode the petrol model delivers around 15 kmpl of mileage and diesel engine delivers around 19 kmpl. NVH levels are decent and the engine gets a bit vocal only at high RPMs. The pickup is decent and the steering is quite responsive. The clutch is light and gearbox is smooth. High speed stability of Bolt is good. Its soft suspension does a good job of dispatching speed breakers and potholes but the bigger bumps do make themselves felt. Tyres offer plenty of grip on road and braking performance is also good.
Talking about the after sales Tata has a wide network across the country and their after sales service quality is good and has much improved compared to the old days.
In my opinion Tata Bolt is a nice car to buy as it gets most of the boxes ticked right from looks to space to comfort to performance.
