Tata Hexa XTA 4x2 Description
The new Tata Hexa XTA AT 6 Seater comes with a stylish front grille, sharp automatic LED headlamps and a muscular bonnet. The company logo is fitted in the centre of this grille that further enhances its appeal. The bumper integrates LED daytime running lights. The 19inch alloy wheels and the black cladding adds to the aggressive appeal.
Talking about interiors, the height-adjustable leather-wrapped steering wheel has good grip and has depressions for fingers, which make it pretty convenient to hold, and all the buttons on the steering are easily accessible. The audio system with 5” touchscreen infotainment system churns out excellent acoustics with fantastic audio quality. Other features of the infotainment include USB, AUX, Bluetooth connectivity, GPS navigation, on-screen SMS display, SMS readout, voice recognition and rearview camera display with guidelines. The equipment list also consists of features like automatic climate control, cruise control, 12 V power outlets on all three rows, front and rear power windows, parking assist with reverse camera, parking sensors, rear defogger, rear wiper, electrically-adjustable ORVMs, follow-me headlamps, etc.
The Hexa XTA AT 6 Seater is powered by a 2.2-liter 4-cylinder VARICOR diesel engine, which develops a peak power of 156PS@4000rpm and peak torque of 400Nm@1700-2700rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The mileage claimed by the SUV beauty is around 17kmpl on the highways and 14kmpl in the city.
As far as safety features are concerned, a total of 6 airbags, ABS and EBD are standard, and this variant also features corner stability control, roll-over mitigation, traction control system, hill hold control, engine immobilizer, hill descent control, and hydraulic brake assist. The engine feels quite refined and the NVH levels are well within control.
Hexa XTA AT looks good, has plenty of space on the inside, comes with a ton of features and drives well. The efficiency is class leading and the ride-handling balance is excellent. It will compete with some really established rivals like Mahindra XUV500 and Toyota Innova Crysta, as both of these are being sold well across the country.
