Tata Safari Storme 2.2 VX 4x4 Varicor 400 comes into the footsteps of a major facelift of Safari Storme. The SUV boasts of a 2.2 litres diesel Varicor engine for all its variants but plans to incorporate its top-end VX variant with a tweaked Varicor engine that delivers a massive 400Nm of torque – thus goes the nomenclature. This seven seater SUV is mainly about the tremendous power unleashed under its hood. The new VX variant goes a step further than its siblings by possessing a 6 speed manual transmission gearbox system and a 4 wheel drive mechanism.
Tata Safari Storme 2.2 VX 4x4 Varicor 400 ExteriorSporting dimensions of 4655mm in length, 1965mm in width, 1397mm in height and 2650mm in wheelbase, Tata Safari Storme Varicor appears to draw its cosmetics cues from the legendary, Land Rover, now under the Tata brand. The frontage has new projector headlamps on either side of a hexagonal horizontal mesh like radiator grille. The refashioned bumper houses two fog lamps for additional lighting during foggy conditions. The sides are characterised by flared fenders, claddings, side steppers, 16 inches alloy wheels, electrically operable chrome plated ORVMs, roof rails and tinted windows. The rear highlight is a spoiler affixed with a LED brake lamp. Besides, the roof rails on either side of the roof come in Ocean Grey colour.

The dashboard is home to a slew of functions – from the analog/digital instrument console to a multipurpose steering wheel onto a 2 DIN Harmon audio system called ‘Connectnext’ backed by six speakers.
