Tata Safari Storme defogger comes fitted in all the variants of the SUV. Being born to the Safari league, Storme is one of the most loved SUVs in India. The defogger is present in the SUV to help keep the rear windscreen clear of any fog or mist. Along with the rear windscreen, defogger also keeps blurriness off the ORVMs. Defogger functions via the thin strips that we can see on the rear windscreen. Each of these connects to a circuit which then allows current to pass through it thereby increasing the temperature of the glass which evaporates the fog/mist that had settled on to the screen. The only issues that cause malfunctions in a defogger are, firstly, if the grid lines get scratched then the circuit breaks and secondly, if there is a loose connection. Therefore for the defogger to function for longer we need to make sure that while cleaning the rear view glass, abrasive cleaners are avoided and also the screen is cleaned gently, not aggressively.
