Tata Safari comes powered by a 2.2 L Direct Injection Common Rail (DICOR) engine that is equipped with a performance?enhancing Variable Turbine Technology (VTT) and a fuel?efficient 1 valve DOHC. It is also operated by a 32?bit electronic control unit with enables it to generate a maximum power output of 138 bhp (@ 4000 rpm) and a maximum torque yield of 320 Nm (@1700?2700 rpm)


Tata Safari registers a healthy mileage of 12 kmpl intra-city and 13.5 kmpl on highways

Braking and Safety:

Tata Safari has vacuum-assisted independent hydraulic ventilated disc brakes with twin pot caliper for the front wheels. The auto-adjusting drum brakes are for the rear wheels

Performance and Handling:

Tata Safari comes endowed with a heavy?duty suspension designed to take on any terrain. The suspension system of Tata Safari is an independent, Double Wishbone type with torsion bar for the front axle
