Tata showcased the Sierra concept as a respect to the original three-door Sierra that was sold in India. Tata Sierra was showcased as a feasibility study at the Auto Expo 2020. The concept derives some elements from the original Sierra such as the boxy shape, muscular wheel arches, high ground clearance and the iconic alpine windows. Tata is using the same ALFA ARC platform which is also shared with the HBX Concept and the Altroz. It is important to note that the Sierra is the largest vehicle that is based on the ALFA ARC platform.
At the front, there is a LED strip and a flat bonnet just like the Harrier and a skid plate. The side profile consists of blacked-out A-pillar, massive dual-tone alloy wheels and electrically sliding rear doors. At the rear, the SUV comes with an LED light bar that runs across the full width and a skid plate. Tata Sierra may get launched with a petrol and a diesel engine. The EV variant can be powered by Tata’s Ziptron technology. If launched the Sierra will be bridging the gap between the Nexon and the Harrier. Both of which are receiving a good response from the Indian market.
