Is the Tata Tiago diesel engine noisy as compared to the petrol engine?
By: Sheshugiri on 24 june 2016
Diesel engine is always going to noisier than a petrol engine, irrespective of the car and the make. This is because petrol engines have spark plugs within the cylinders that help initiate combustion whereas diesel engine ignites the fuel by compression only which means that there are no external source of spark. This results to more vibrations and noise.

When I accelerate, some abnormal noise comes from my new Tata Tiago which has covered just 300 kms, brakes also get jammed for few seconds. It delivers me a mileage of only 14 kmpl. Is there any manufacturing defect?
