In my opinion Tata Tiago XE would be a better choice over Celerio LXI, it is lengthier and wider than Celerio and has 1.2 liter engine which produces maximum power of 84 bhp @ 6000 rpm and maximum torque of 114 Nm @ 3500 rpm compare to Celerio’s 67 bhp @ 6000 and 90 Nm @ 3500 rpm respectively and in spite of the bigger engine the claimed mileage of Tiago is (23.8 kmpl) is better than claimed mileage of Celerio (23.1 kmpl) and moreover price of Tiago XE is still lesser than Celerio LXI.
There is no doubt that Tata cars are very reliable, hence you can notice that people use Tata cars for touring purpose because of its built quality and reliability, now Tata is making cars with better technology and design, Tiago is featured with Revtron engine which provides great power and mileage, design of the car is very good and what matters the most is the adaptability to the Indian conditions, it is good looking car with a very affordable price tag.
Tata cars resale value depends on the usage, if the maintenance and smoothness is good then it can fetch good resale value else not, but this applies to all brands cars.
