The NVH levels in Tata Tiago is quite acceptable now, despite it being a 3 cylinder diesel engine, vibration levels isn’t a concern but sound insulation should be better as there is much more noise in the cabin once you get past the mid range and NVH aren’t as good as some of its rivals. ECU update can reduce vibrations to some extent by increasing the idle rpm and same can also be reduced by working on timing chain, clutch as well as engine mounts. About updates on older cars, I advise you to contact your local Tata service center, as they would be able to confirm it more precisely.

I am 6.2 feet tall and want to buy a car between Tata Tiago and Maruti Suzuki Celerio, which one would be suitable for me? My preferences are low NVH levels, comfortable seats for long drive. When will Tiago automatic be launched?
