Tata Tiago is a good car to buy it is good looking and has a good balance of ride and handling. It comes with a choice of 1.2 liter petrol engine and 1.1 liter diesel engine options, petrol derivatives gets a 1.2 liter Revtron multi drive unit which produces 84 bhp along with 114 Nm of torque while the diesel derivative on the other hand comes fitted with 1.1 liter oil burner which produces 69 bhp and 140 Nm of peak torque. The ARAI fuel efficiency numbers are 23.8 kmpl for petrol model and 27.2 kmpl for diesel.
There is a good sense of space inside the cabin and decent amount of storage spaces. Overall fit & finish and plastic quality is pretty good. Seats offer good support and are well cushioned. Steering offers good feedback. Suspension setup is on the stiffer side and thus sharp bumps do make themselves felt although ride quality on the whole is good. Brakes are aided by ABS and EBD offer good stopping power. The car is great to drive in low gears in city but only good enough for cruising on highway, but the NVH levels could have been better as there is lot of noise in the cabin once you get past the mid range. Price is reasonable; it is a good value for money.

When I accelerate, some abnormal noise comes from my new Tata Tiago which has covered just 300 kms, brakes also get jammed for few seconds. It delivers me a mileage of only 14 kmpl. Is there any manufacturing defect?
