Which car would be better for me petrol or diesel? I drive less and want to keep car for long time.

In my opinion you should opt for petrol car, although diesel cars delivers better mileage than their petrol counterparts but for your requirement that doesn’t make sense as you drive less, so the money you would save on mileage would not cover the extra amount you pay on purchasing a diesel car as the diesel model of any car is always more expensive than a petrol car having similar specifications.

Moreover the servicing cost and cost of spare parts is generally higher for diesel cars than petrol ones. Right from the cost of oil replacement to the battery and clutch plate, etc. all cost more in case of diesel cars. Also, the NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) levels of petrol cars are lower than that of diesel cars.
