In my opinion between these two, Tiago would be a better choice, though Celerio looks good but not appealing while Tata Tiago looks well proportioned and appealing, it is also lengthier and wider than Celerio. The cabin of the Tiago is more impressive with good use of material & finish. Both cars are loaded with features but Tiago offers some extra features like rear parking sensors, cooled glovebox and better sound quality audio system. The engine of the Tiago is much quieter, on the inside, and less noisy at high speed, when compared to the Celerio.
Talking about the mechanicals, Tiago is powered by 1.2 liter Revotron engine that discharges peak power of 84 bhp and peak torque of 114 Nm while Celerio is powered by 1.0 liter K10B engine that discharges peak power of 67 bhp and peak torque of 90 Nm. The ARAI claimed mileage of Tiago is 23.8 kmpl while of Celerio is 23.1 kmpl. Tiago rides on wider 14 inch wheels compared to 13 inch wheels of Celerio, which offers it better high speed stability and ride quality.
