Tata Tigor Facelift Preview

Tata Tigor has been competing with competition quite well for quite some time. As other manufaturers are also updating their sedans Tata will also soon get a mid-life update with Tata’s new IMPACT 2.0 design philosophy. The design of the small compact sedan will get a lot sharper than the current model. Tata will bring on some of the elements from their upcoming premium hatchback the “Altroz”. The new headlamp cluster may offer projectors with Daytime-Running Lamps. There will be updated front and rear bumpers with new fog lamp housing. The side profile will also get some tweaks and we also may expect a new set of alloy wheels. Powering the 2020 Tigor will be the same petrol engine which is doing duty on the current Tigor. However, Tata will tweak it so that it can be BS-6 compliant. The current 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine produces 84bhp and 114Nm of power and torque. The engine will be mated to a five-speed manual gearbox or an AMT. In the future there can also be a JTP version of the compact sedan. The “JTP” versions are more sporty and powerful than the regular sedan. The standard safety kit may increase with added equipment like rear parking sensors, speed alert system which is mandated by the law and front seat belt reminders.
