I have an offer for Tata Xenon of 2010 for Rs 5.5 Lakh, is it worth?

Tata Xenon features the same engine as in Tata Safari. Its performance is similar to Safari except that it’s a perfect utility vehicle. The possible space behind the second row seats in Safari is beautifully converted to pure luggage carrier. You can close the boot lid or keep it open if the excessive dimensions of the goods to be carried demands the same. There are good lot of Xenon available in used car market as well. A fairly conditioned basic variant of Xenon can be got in the range of 5 lakhs onwards. Considering the price quoted, utility of the vehicle and year of make etc.The offer seems to be a genuine one worth considering.

A used car price depends on multiple factors, including its date of manufacturing, total kms run, the city where vehicle is registered and its conditioned. The offer for 2010 model Tata Xenon XT is looking genuine but you should also check the total kms the vehicle have run till now, if it is less than 50,000 kms and vehicle condition is good, you can go for this deal.
Buying new Xenon is not worth any penny then how come you plan for a second hand Xenon XT. Please don’t buy this vehicle. I had the same thoughts before buying it but now it’s been changed completely. The piece they sold me is the service centre piece now. Every 10 days it goes to service centre and it takes months to repair the simple issues as Xenon engine has been designed by a UK designer who has designed it for UK roads not Indian off road entries. This vehicle is having décor engine but it is ineffective. It’s not worth any money.
I am agreeing with above answer as Tata Xenon XT is not worth buying. I have the same issue with my xenon. It is not powerful and efficient as promised. The worst part is the Tata service on xenon engine. Desi engineers don’t know anything about the UK designed car so they are unable to repair it. They will do nothing and send your vehicle back to you in the same condition. I had a very bad experience with Tata Xenon and its service. It has not been designed to work with Indian environment.
It would be a good buy but you should quote a lesser price. You have asked much for it. Xenon would be worth buying but not at 5.5L. It has some design issues I know. The one I have is running and generating adequate power but not good to operate in cities. The linkage between clutch and gearshift gives some trouble, sometimes it’s got broken also. So check twice before buying. No local mechanic or even Tata service engineers can repair it.
Tata Xenon XT is a pickup truck at its core, yet it looks quite upmarket. The Cabin looks fabulous and contains all necessary features like power windows, AC, faux wood central console etc. It has the same engine as of Tata Safari. Fresh Xenon XT is priced at 9.96 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom), Delhi, so a 2010 Xenon XT at Rs. 5.5 Lakhs is a good deal if the vehicle is not driven more than 60,000 Kms. Also take a test drive to ascertain that no absurd noises are percolating in the cabin.
