1. What are the engine specifications of TATA Zest?
Tata Zest is available to the customers in India in three engine options.
1193 cc, 4 cylinder, 1.2 litre, in-line, 4-pot Revotron turbocharged petrol engine with maximum torque of 140 Nm @ 1500-4000 rpm and maximum power output of 90 bhp @ 5000 rpm
1428 cc, 4-cylinder, 1.3 litre, 4-pot Quadrajet fixed geometry turbocharged diesel engine with peak torque of 190 Nm @ 1750-3000 rpm and max power output of 75 bhp @ 4000 rpm
The third option is the same as the second one but has a variable geometry turbocharged diesel engine thus generating max torque of 200 Nm @ 1750-3000 rpm and power of 90 bhp @ 4000 rpm.
2. How much fuel can it hold? What about the mileage?
Both the petrol and diesel engine variants boast of a 44 litre fuel tank capacity. The former has a decent fuel efficiency of 16 kmpl in urban areas and 18 kmpl on highways. The diesel version has a commendable efficiency of 21 kmpl on city roads and 23 kmpl on highways. The fuel efficiency of depends on factors like road and traffic conditions, brake utilization and servicing schedule of the car.
3. How can I get some discounts on the new Tata Zest?

4. How many passengers does the Zest seat? Is the boot space adequate?
This compact sedan by Tata offers a comfortable seating capacity for five adult passengers with four doors. The legroom, arm space and headroom space are adequate. The boot space bestowed to this car by Tata is an impressive 390 litres, which is certainly adequate and more than enough to hold 2 suitcases and a small bag.
5. What are the safety and security features available on this car?
The Tata Zest comes equipped with high class safety features like Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), perimetric alarm system, driver and passenger SRS airbags, engine immobilizer, speed dependant auto door lock, central locking along with child safety lock, front and rear fog lights, and rear park sensors. Please note that the safety features available vary as per choice of variant. The entry level variants will only have a certain few of the aforementioned features while the top spec variants will have them all.
6. How many variants of the Zest are available?
Tata Zest is available to the customers in 10 different variants in India. Four variants are from the petrol segment and have a 1.2 litre Revotron petrol engine; they are named - XE, XM, XMS and XT Petrol Revotron. The remaining six variants are diesel version and have a 1.3 litre Quadrajet diesel engine; these are called - XE, XM, XMS, XMA, XT and XTA Diesel Quadrajet 1.3 L.
7. How many colours does TATA offer for the Zest?
Tata has launched the Zest in six unique and attractive colours namely- Pristine White, Buzz Blue, Titanium Grey, Venation Red, Sky Grey and Platinum Silver.
8. How many types of transmission systems can I choose from?
Currently, the ZEST is available equipped with both Manual Transmission as well as Automatic Transmission which has a direct shift gearbox (DSG). Eight variants have the 5-speed manual transmission and the remaining two variants, XTA and XMA Diesel Quadrajet 1.3L variants have an F-Tronic technology which enables the automated manual transmission gearbox.

11. What about the warranty? Does TATA provide factory warranty for ZEST?
Yes certainly. The manufacturer TATA offers a 24 month (2 years) or 75,000 km warranty, whichever comes first from the date of delivery, on all versions of the TATA Zest. There is no restriction or limitation for the distance of the warranty and you can avail it anywhere and anytime you might need to.
12. What is the top speed of Zest and how is its performance in terms of acceleration?
The powerful and robust engines can power the Tata Zest petrol version from standstill to 100 kmph in a decent 15 seconds. The diesel iteration takes a while longer and clocks in at 16 seconds to accelerate. All variants of the Tata Zest have a top speed of 155 kmph.
