The Tata Zest 2014 comes equipped with a double din stereo system. At the top centre console, there is an infotainment system which Tata Motors and Harman have jointly developed. It comprises of a 5 inch resistive touchscreen and boasts of USB, Aux, SD card and Bluetooth connectivity. There are a total of 8 speakers which guarantees a home theatre like feel. There are two speakers and two tweeters at the front and back. Sound quality is certainly impressive. Even when the volume is turned all the way up, there is no distortion or clipping. Furthermore, the music starts playing immediately on the start-up. Additionally, there is the innovative ‘display’ button which turns the screen off. This feature is especially ideal for night driving. Honda Amaze and Chevrolet Sail sedan – two nearest competitors of the Tata Zest 2014 come equipped with a factory fitted music system but only in selected variants.
