Hello Swaran Singh..

Hyundai Xcent features 1.2L petrol engine delivering power of 83PS and Torque of 113Nm. Tata Zest features 1.2L petrol engine delivering power of 90PS and Torque of 140NM. Both vehicles are new in market and offer best of styling and features. The selection depends on brand preferences also. To choose one, Tata Zest would be better option for host of new features and comparatively easy of maintenance with wide spread service network and lesser price of spares.

Both of the cars are beautiful and practical. Zest XMS has a better torque i.e. 140 NM than 114 NM of Xcent S. The major dealbreaker is that the zest has a turbocharged petrol engine that gives this constant peak torque over a wide range of speed i.e. 1750-3500 RPM. Further, tatas are offering three mode of operation in their engine i.e. city, eco and power. As you are going to drive for 33 Kms /day on average, the mileage of both must not be a differentiator. You should go for good torque, features, and easy maintenance cost. Tata zest surely has an edge over xcent on these fronts
