Toyota Baleno Preview

The Suzuki and Toyota in 2018 made an announcement to share their best selling cars with each other. As a result, Baleno and the Vitara Brezza from Maruti Suzuki brand will be exchanged with Toyota’s best selling Corolla.
This can help Toyota to step into the entry-level divisions where it holds a mere presence and Maruti targets to step in the higher divisions with the presence of the re-engineered Corolla. Both the companies have agreed upon the terms of bringing a significant difference in the exteriors and interiors from each other.

Toyota Baleno Exterior

We can expect the upcoming Toyota based Baleno to host a design that resembles the global Toyota vehicles. The grille in the front will be somewhat more conventional rather than the prominent ‘U’ shaped. The foglights, bumpers and headlights will likely get tweaked to match the design appeal of Toyota. Talking about the rear, it will be hosting wider tail-lights that are typical of the Toyota cars and an upgraded design to the bumpers and spoilers. We can expect the Toyota to add more of chrome to render the car with an upmarket feel.

Toyota Baleno Interior

While talking about the interiors, it is possible that it will get a makeover and very unlikely that it will carry forward the prior same design of Maruti. We can possibly expect the interiors to be more upmarket and be finished with the superior quality of materials. The dashboard structure can be the same as the prevailing Toyotas, similar to the case of exteriors. As Toyota cars generally are well-equipped hence the Toyota Baleno will be equipped with dual-zone climate control, leather seats, massive touchscreen, electrically adjustable front driver seats and sunroof will get added also.

Toyota Baleno Engine & Transmission

Talking about the engine in the Toyota based Baleno, the 1.2-litre K12 petrol engine is likely to get carried over but we can expect the latest 1.5-litre diesel engine which Maruti is in the process of development to step into the upcoming Toyota Baleno. The fully hybrid option will be offered by Toyota as its signature. Both Toyota and Suzuki will be mulling on electric power.

Toyota Baleno Braking and Safety

We can expect great safety specs in the upcoming 2019 Toyota Baleno for sure. There will be a possibility that Toyota will be offering features like ABS with EBD, Electronic safety Program, disc brakes in all wheels and a total of 6 airbags. Toyota surely has to prove the strength of their build quality so they could better excel in the crash test norms forthcomingly.

What do we think about Toyota Baleno?

In our opinion, Toyota which is a global leader in the Automotive Industry will surely play their masterstroke in transforming the overall look and features of the car and will definitely give a very tough competition to its rivals catering to the hatchback segment.
