Year of Manufacture : 2014 | Driven no. of Kms. : 7000
- Pros: 1. Appealing interiors.
2. Low Cabin noise
3. Adequate leg space
- Cons: 1. Fuel efficiency
2. pickup at lower RPM (around 1200 - 1500 rpm)
3. noisy intercooler engine
I use Cross for daily commute to office and predominantly on a high density traffic zones in Bengaluru. I ride about 80 kms every day. I do get around 15-16 kpl (diesel) with AC on. 2 Pax max.
On a high way I get a decent milage about 21-22 kpl.
Problem with this car is that I need to run on 2nd gear through out. On every hump I need to get back to first gear..on lower rpms you hardly have any torque. This also lacks several features which we generally see in all other cars. 1. no sound indication when you lock or unlock. if one of the doors is not closed properly, the remote lock does not work. You would not even know that until you keenly watch the indicator light. 2. No follow me home. 3. Seat belt warning is big irritating beep..4. default rubber foot mats stinks a lot. 5. Does not auto lock once you start car nor auto unlock once you switch off the ignition. This is a big disadvantage and a security issue. in case of an emergency, if you switch off the ignition, you still need to struggle to unlock and pen the door as the lock cannot be prominently seen. this is a very dangerous just in case, there is thick smoke inside and you want to get out of the car, for sure you will not be able to do so. 6. Not at all happy with the ground clearance. 7. No provision for additional head lights. 8. I do not know why Toyota does not provide rear speakers. 9. Full laden car, bumpers for sure will touch the ground...The value is only Toyota quality and engine life...so if one is not looks conscious, can go for Liva rather than Cross..over all ..Cost is high as comparedto benefits. :)
