Dhurjati Prasad Mishra (Guest)'s review on Toyota Etios Liva GD
Year of Manufacture : 2013 | Driven no. of Kms. : 17583
- Pros: Peppy diesel engine,Space, comfort, efficiency, ABS and reliability were my top priorities. Liva diesel Gd fulfills all the above criteria's very well. The real world FE figures are astonishing, i've been getting around 17-21 with a/c on in city and 22-26 with a/c on on highways (depending on the usage of a/c and cruising speeds). The 1.4l d-4d engine is very responsive in city traffic there is next to no turbo-lag. It performs much better than the diesel swift and diesel i20 in the city traffic. The Liva provides a consistent flat ride on highways that makes you believe that you are driving something from executive segment, the rear seats could termed as one of the best unlike others cars in it's segment it can accomodate three well fed adults in utmost comfort. Lastly it has a big 13L cooled glovebox, and space for 5 1litre bottles throughout it's cabin.
- Cons: Apart from the engine noise (only at high speeds, although it's much improved in '13 variants) it's scores a perfect 10 for me.
It's a very dependable, reliable, comfortable, efficient and safe offering from Toyota. It provides one of the best VFM in it's segment. The newer '14 variants are infact more improved, where dual airbags are provided in every variants, unlike others car's where it is mostly offered in the higher variants.
