- Pros: Good off roader vehicle
- Cons: Bad brakes
I bought a grey Toyota Fortuner after a long three month wait. We mainly bought this car as my dad would be needing it for his daily routine and work. My dad is generally chauffeured around. Our earlier experiences with this car were great. It carries astounding bold looks, offers plush interiors and has great quality engine. The ground clearance is also good and not to forget its tyres have a great grip on the road. The interiors are very similar to that of innova and offers almost the same feel except that you may feel like you are sitting a feet or two above innova. The seat foam are a bit on the stiffer side. There was no option to opt for Captain seats in the middle row was really very disappointing. The riding experience is average, thanks to the very stiff suspension. But these stiff suspensions prove to be useful for off-roading. I am an avid traveller and use my Toyota Fortuner for most of my getaways. So my dad now prefers another sedan and we use our Fortuner as an off roader vehicle for the family. Off-roading is one field it excels in. As I'm a civil engineer, most of my work lay around unleveled roads where this car plays around easily too. Though, brakes are a huge disappointment and are really not effective in slowing down this beast. Engine is superb with its 177 bhp engine. Overtaking and maneuvering is easy due to the power it gives. So, finally would say that Toyota Fortuner is a good car that can be driven easily on difficult terrains.
